THE
WINEMAKERS

Eloisa and Gil's journey with wine began more than a decade ago on a bike-literally! Their regular trips to Baja for the Rosarito-Ensenada 50-mile rides sparked a deep love for the region, its people, and its spirit. That connection grew into something lasting when they built a home in Baja and started exploring the nearby Valle de Guadalupe. There, surrounded by vineyards and passionate winemakers, they discovered a community and wines that captured what the region is about. Wanting to truly understand the craft, in 2015 they decided to make their own wine. The experience deepened their appreciation for the work and patience behind every bottle. They took classes at Hugo D'Acosta's renowned La Escuelita, the small but influential winemaking school that helped shape Valle de Guadalupe into the thriving wine region it is today.

Eloisa and Gil founded Vinos Los Angeles to share the beauty and authenticity of Baja's wines with friends back home, at a time when Baja wines were nearly impossible to find on this side of the border.

Today, they continue importing and distributing Baja wines in the U.S. market, proudly representing the region and the friendships that inspired it all.

THE
CANTINA

Cantina Los Mayas is a San Francisco-based wine bar and restaurant that celebrates the rich flavors and culture of Yucatan, Mexico. Our story began with a passion for Yucatecan cuisine with Taqueria Los Mayas located at 331 Clement street in San Francisco. We wanted to create a new unique dining experience that would elevate the traditional flavors of Yucatan Mexico, and introduce our guests to the wonderful world of Mexican wines. Come join us and explore the rich tapestry of Yucatan's flavors and Mexican wines.
